Mookie Betts Attends Opening Night Of Dodgers Holiday Festival

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Los Angeles Dodgers fans unfortunately did not get the opportunity to attend games at Dodger Stadium during the 2020 season.

While they haven’t been able to get into Chavez Ravine, they at least got the chance to watch postseason games from the parking lot with the organization hosting watch parties. That provided a unique experience for fans to collectively witness and celebrate the Dodgers’ first World Series win since 1988.

Now that the holiday season has arrived, the Dodgers are hosting another event in the Dodger Stadium parking lot. The first Dodgers Holiday Festival began on Friday night, featuring Christmas lights and more fans to drive through and see.

Among those in attendance on Opening Night were Mookie Betts and his family, and the Commissioner’s Trophy that the organization took home for winning the World Series also made an appearance:

Even though it’s the holiday season, Dodgers fans across the globe already received the best gift they’ll get all year, and that’s Betts. The star right field was acquired in a trade with the Boston Red Sox and signed a 12-year extension before ever playing a game with the Dodgers.

Betts wound up being the missing piece to the puzzle in L.A., finishing second in the National League Cy Young voting and coming up with countless big plays on both sides of the ball during their World Series run.
